The best shoes for leggings

I was asked by a sweet friend and Instagram follower the other day what shoes I wear with leggings. She said she knows what to wear with the plain leggings but she was having trouble with what to pair with the patterned ones. So I decided to write a post on the best shoes for leggings.

The Best Shoes for Leggings…

My top choice is any kind of booties. They hit right at the ankle and I like that the leggings do the same. Here are some examples:

Leopard booties…I mean enough said. I wear these things with everything because in my book they are a neutral. You could do the same thing with leopard flats!

If I find a pair of shoes I really like I will usually buy them in multiple colors. These perforated leather booties from Target are no exception. I bought them in the taupe below first and fell in love so I got them in gray pictured above. These are both great neutrals and go with tons of patterns.

Remember what I said about buying the same shoes in multiple colors? These are another example. They are from Bass Outlet and I love the fringe on the side. I bought them in gray and tan and they are always on major rotation.

I also love to pair my leggings with flats when the weather is warm enough. These Tieks have gotten a lot of wear. And before you ask me, yes they are worth the money! My suggestion though is to get a neutral color like these or black or brown so you will wear them a lot and feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.
